The first big band to come through St. James. The energy level and just watching the crowd 'chip' to the rythms gives all who were there that J'Ouvert feeling.

NorthStars WestSide they made their first appearence at J'ouvert Jam. This singlepan band is a tribute to two St. James bands {PanAm North Stars and WestSide Symphony-BWIA Sunjets}.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities



On December 3, 2010 the International Day of Persons with Disabilities commenced at Hios Oasis. Several special guests were Mr. Brian Lewis Honorary Secretary of the Special Olympics Committee as well as Dr. Jennifer Rouse the Director of the Ministry of Aging. All of those in attendance were greatly satisfied with being there. During the evening several commendations were given to Mr. Anton La Fond for his advocacy with persons with disabilities.

Annual Children’s Christmas Concert – The St. James Community Improvement Committee & Freddie’s Bread Bakery

The Annual Children's Christmas Concert presented by the St. James Community Improvement Committee and Freddies Bakery celebrate Christmas with children in the St. James Amphitheatre. This yearly event attracts children from St. James and surrounding communities. The children anxiously awaited Santa's arrival and were rewarded with Christmas gifts and treats. The weather was wonderful and the children were entertained with music of the season performed by the St. James Tripolians and Scrunters Pan Groove.
